Wesly Mallard is an Oregon LB with NFL size and old-school instincts
Wesly Mallard brings prototype linebacker traits — listed at 6-1, 230 pounds — and the kind of disciplined, tackling-first profile that fits a physical defense. His college resume at Oregon included two interceptions in the 2001 season, a useful reminder that he could make plays beyond just cleaning up runs. The appeal here is reliability, strength, and instinctive play rather than flashy production; that’s the sort of defender coaches trust when they want steady, assignment-sound football.
