Marcus Wells brings **defense-first guard play** and veteran steadiness to WSSU
Winston-Salem State’s Marcus Wells is a **point guard** profile built around disruption and control: in the 2012-13 season, he averaged **5.3 points, 2.2 rebounds, 55 assists, and 23 steals**, and he was recognized as a **CIAA Defensive Player of the Year**[7][5]. ESPN listed him as a **6-2 guard** with a solid recruit grade, while WSSU’s roster notes show he could also contribute as a secondary scorer and creator[4][7]. If you want a **tough, defensive-minded floor general** who can raise your team’s intensity and structure, he fits that mold well[5][7].
