Kyle Russo brings veteran Southern Illinois edge presence with a blue-collar motor
Kyle Russo is a defensive end for Southern Illinois whose value comes from effort, toughness, and roster familiarity rather than flash; the Salukis’ own roster lists him as a current defender, while ESPN identifies him as a DE from Southlake, Texas[1][2]. There wasn’t enough reliable stat detail in the available sources to verify a current 2026 production line, so the key takeaway is fit: he profiles as the kind of physical, low-drama trench player who can help a team’s run defense and edge depth if you want consistency, accountability, and a hardworking culture piece[1][2].
