6-11 ORU center with efficient touch and veteran size
Matt Gastel gave Oral Roberts a legitimate interior presence in the 2004-05 season, appearing in 24 games and making 15 starts while averaging 6.4 points and 3.1 rebounds per game; his career numbers also show efficient scoring touch, with 4.5 points and 2.9 rebounds per game on 53.2% shooting. At 6-11, he brings size, finishing ability, and enough skill to stay on the floor, but the bigger story is that he’s a stretch of dependable frontcourt depth rather than a high-usage star. If you want a big who can score without demanding touches, he’s worth a look.
