Academic standout and experienced NDSU defensive back
Hodenfield is a reliability-first safety for North Dakota State, with a track record of consistency and academic excellence that suggests strong discipline, preparation, and coachability. His profile shows repeated MVFC academic honors across multiple seasons, which matters because players who stay detail-oriented off the field often translate that steadiness onto special teams and in rotational defensive roles. For a team, he projects as a smart, low-drama fit who can absorb the playbook quickly and bring dependable effort every snap, even if the available public stats don’t spotlight flashy production.
