Marques Jenkins brings veteran MIKE-linebacker leadership to Liberty
In Liberty’s 2012 preseason notes, Marques Jenkins was described by the coaching staff as a talented, gifted athlete and one of the most experienced returners at MIKE linebacker, with a reputation for making big plays and leading the unit. He was also viewed as a real contender for a starting role, which tells you his value went beyond raw size (6-1, 225) and into trust, versatility, and on-field command. If you want a linebacker who can anchor the middle and bring edge, Jenkins looks like a strong fit.
