Jon Hicks brings veteran UConn linebacker experience and downhill toughness
In the 2016 season, Jon Hicks was a seasoned Connecticut linebacker whose profile was built on physicality, run support, and steady tackle production rather than flash. Earlier UConn records show him contributing across multiple seasons, with his stat lines reflecting a player who could finish plays and handle contact. For a team, that usually means a dependable, assignment-sound fit who can help stabilize the middle. The one-sentence scout's take: if you want a tough, experienced linebacker who plays with an old-school edge, Hicks has the right ingredients.
