Whit Shelton brings blue-collar linebacker value for Chattanooga
Whit Shelton profiles as a dependable, special-teams-heavy linebacker for Chattanooga, with his 2014 roster entry showing four games played off the bench, mostly on special teams, and three tackles; that kind of early-career role usually signals physicality, willingness to do the dirty work, and coach-trust in a depth piece[3]. The main reason to care is fit: he looks like a toughness-and-effort player who can help a program’s culture and add value in coverage, pursuit, and kickoff-style roles even if he is not yet a headline stat producer[3].
