Matt Castor brings volume and toughness to Towson's backfield
Castor is a workhorse-style running back who has produced meaningful rushing volume for Towson, with 820 career rushing yards, 7 touchdowns, and a 3.9-yard average on ESPN's player page; in one recent season snapshot, he totaled 543 yards and 5 scores on 144 carries. His value is less about explosive efficiency than dependable touches, physicality, and the ability to handle a heavy workload, which can appeal to teams looking for a steady, downhill runner rather than a pure home-run threat. Reliable game-to-game production is his calling card.[5][1]
