Oregon Ducks LB Misidentified in Records; Actual Player is Southern Illinois Safety
There is no verified college football player named Grant Thompson who plays linebacker (LB) for the Oregon Ducks. The only Grant Thompson in recent NCAA football records is a freshman safety (#31) for Southern Illinois Salukis, standing 6'0", 190 lbs, from Atlanta, GA [1]. As of July 2026, he has not appeared in Oregon Ducks games or stats, and no performance data, rankings, or analyst opinions exist for an Oregon LB by this name. This athlete is not a fit for a team seeking an Oregon Ducks linebacker, as the player either does not exist at Oregon or is misreported in position and team. Verify the player’s name, school, or position before proceeding.
