sturdy right-hander who can give Rider innings
In the 2026 season, Kyle Batt has been a dependable rotation piece for Rider, sitting 3-4 with a 3.65 ERA over 24.2 innings at one point and later carrying a 5.05 ERA with 34 strikeouts across 51.2 innings in his freshman campaign; that combo says “strike-thrower with upside,” not finished product. He earned MAAC All-Rookie Team honors, which matters because it signals real conference-level respect, and his biggest value is durability and competitiveness on the mound. He’s the kind of pitcher a staff can trust to compete every week and keep games winnable.
