Jay Crable is turning into a disruptive edge piece for Ohio
In the 2025 season, Ohio DE Jay Crable appeared in 13 games with 12 starts, posted 33 tackles, 8.0 tackles for loss, 6.0 sacks, and 4 pass breakups, and even tied the program record with three sacks in one game against Bowling Green.[1] At 6-foot-3 and 240 pounds, he looks like a strong fit for teams that want a physical edge defender who can win with burst and finishing power, not just pile up box-score tackles.[1][3] The best part: his production shows real playmaking upside off the edge, which is exactly the kind of “double-take” trait coaches love.[1][3]
