Robert Topps III brings veteran steadiness to Towson’s secondary
Robert Topps III is a seasoned Towson defensive back whose calling card has been reliability and field awareness; in the 2022 season, he started all 11 games at safety and finished with 28 tackles, 2 pass breakups, and an interception. Towson’s own materials and opponent breakdowns point to him as one of the secondary’s returning leaders, which matters because he offers experience, communication, and a steadying presence rather than flashy numbers. If you want a DB who can help organize coverage and play with senior-level poise, he looks like a solid fit.
