veteran Missouri blind-side protector with big-game toughness and battle-tested leadership
In the 2012 season, Elvis Fisher was the Tigers’ sixth-year senior left tackle and a team captain, bringing rare experience after starting 40 straight games from 2008-10 and earning Honorable Mention All-Big 12 honors in 2010. His calling cards were leadership, durability when healthy, and proven blind-side protection; the big caveat was an injury history that wiped out his 2011 season and forced him to battle back from another knee issue in 2012. If a team wants a seasoned, gritty line anchor, Fisher fits the bill—just with some medical baggage attached.
