High-IQ, captain-style linebacker with Davidson roots
Jake Hudgins entered Davidson as a 6-0, 215-pound inside linebacker from Dunwoody High School, where he was a two-year team captain, defensive player of the year, and a standout scholar-athlete; that combo screams instincts, toughness, and leadership more than highlight-reel flash. He looks like the kind of LB a coach trusts to line everybody up, play with discipline, and bring some old-school edge to the middle of the defense. If you want a tone-setter with academic discipline and captain energy, he’s a strong fit.
