Resilient UNC Wilmington OF with 25 RBI and High-Intensity Series Impact in 2026
Will Tyrrell, a 5'11", 185-lb R-So outfielder for UNC Wilmington, delivered 25 RBI and 2 home runs in the 2026 season despite a modest .209 batting average, showcasing his differentiator as a high-intensity, clutch performer who thrives in series-clinching moments—evidenced by combining with Trevor Lucas for five hits and five runs in UNCW’s 10-run series winner. His 24 runs scored and 10 extra-base hits reflect elite speed and aggressive baserunning, while his 35-of-50 game starts reveal durability and team trust. Though not a power hitter, Tyrrell’s personality traits of relentless hustle and reliability make him a perfect fit for teams needing a catalyst in the top of the order, especially in high-pressure scenarios where his intensity elevates the entire lineup.
