Big-bodied K-State righty with a swing-and-miss Nebraska resume
Noah Gartner enters Kansas State as a 6-foot-2, 205-pound right-hander from Omaha whose high school track record suggests strike-throwing upside and bat-missing ability: in his senior season, he posted a 1.51 ERA, 1.07 WHIP, and 64 strikeouts in 51 innings while holding hitters to a .169 average. The fit? He looks like a power arm with starter traits, and his success at Millard North points to poise and competitiveness rather than just raw stuff. For a staff needing a tough, physical arm with room to develop, he’s a very interesting add.
