big-arm FIU QB with rare size, but an old-school, limited college footprint
Kendrick was a highly touted Miami-Dade quarterback prospect out of Homestead High, praised for a powerful arm and elite size at 6-foot-3, 237 pounds in the 2004 FIU roster listing, and he was ranked No. 17 among Miami-Dade’s top recruits and the county’s top quarterback. His FIU bio also notes he was first-team All-Miami-Dade after throwing for 1,666 yards and nine touchdowns in high school. The catch: his college production was extremely limited, with only three rushing attempts recorded for FIU in 2005, so the intrigue is arm talent and upside more than proven game-day output.
