Turner Buttry is a steady, veteran EKU guard with high-IQ scoring touch
Buttry has been a reliable backcourt piece for Eastern Kentucky, and in the 2024-25 season he averaged 9.8 points, 2.8 assists and 1.8 rebounds in 26.6 minutes per game while shooting 38.3% from the field[3]. His calling card is shot-making and feel—he came to EKU as Kentucky’s 2022 Mr. Basketball and has shown he can score in bursts, including a 19-point game for the Colonels in 2026[10][14]. At 5-foot-11, he’s not a size play, but he brings toughness, a local-star pedigree, and enough playmaking to fit a team that values poise and perimeter creativity[4][14].
