Albany’s center Jan van den Berg brings size and rim protection to the Great Danes
Jan van den Berg profiles as a useful interior piece for Albany: a true center who can anchor the paint, finish around the rim, and give the Great Danes a sturdier defensive backbone. The most important context is fit — if a team needs a bruising, low-mistake big who can screen, rebound, and protect the lane rather than stretch the floor, he’s intriguing. Publicly available current stat detail is limited here, so the best read is his role-based value: size, physicality, and dependable frontcourt minutes over flash.
