physical Arkansas State linebacker with room to climb
Jonathan Looney is listed on Arkansas State’s 2026 roster as a 6-foot-0, 220-pound linebacker from Memphis, giving the Red Wolves a compact, physical defender who fits the mold of a downhill, tackle-first LB. Publicly available team materials show him on the roster, but there isn’t enough verified stat production in the current sources to credibly label him as a major stat-leader yet. The appeal is upside: if you want a linebacker who can add toughness, special-teams value, and depth with a sturdier frame, Looney is the kind of under-the-radar piece worth tracking.
