Vernard Jenkins brings Air Force a steady, defense-first backcourt presence
In his **2001-02** season at Air Force, Vernard Jenkins stood out as a reliable guard who impacted games with **defense**, **playmaking**, and ball pressure, finishing with **46 steals** and ranking fourth in the conference in that category. He averaged **2.4 assists** while giving the Falcons steady minutes, which suggests a connector-type guard rather than a volume scorer. If you want a disciplined, low-drama backcourt piece who can raise the team’s defensive intensity and keep an offense organized, Jenkins fits that mold well.
