Jakobe Walton brings veteran depth and steady tackling to NAU’s secondary
Jakobe Walton has been a reliable Northern Arizona defensive back, with NAU listing him at 5-foot-11, 185 pounds and noting he played 10 games in 2021, started two at safety, and finished with 15 tackles and a season-high seven against Sacramento State. The differentiator is his versatility and experience in the secondary—he has been used at safety, nickelback, and cornerback, which makes him a useful plug-and-play fit for a defense that values depth, communication, and consistent run support.
