Jamaal Singleton brings ball-hawking upside and special-teams value for Southern
In the 2026 season, Southern DB Jamaal Singleton profiles as a compact, scrappy defender with proven takeaway ability—his available career stat line shows 1 interception and 1 forced fumble, which is the kind of playmaking that can swing hidden yardage in a tight game[2]. At 5-6 and 145 pounds, he is more of a quick-twitch, nickel/special-teams type than a size-heavy enforcer, but that can be a feature if your team wants urgency, instincts, and a player who plays like every snap owes him money[3].
