veteran interior anchor with all-conference pedigree
Rusty Staats has been a dependable, battle-tested OL for Western Kentucky, earning honorable-mention All-Conference USA recognition in 2021 and 2022 while helping power nine-win seasons and bowl wins. Listed at 6-4, 310, he brings the kind of size-and-leverage profile coaches love, plus real versatility after spending meaningful snaps at center and right guard. In a compact résumé, he reads like a low-drama, high-floor lineman: experienced, sturdy, and scheme-flexible. If a roster needs maturity and line intelligence more than flash, Staats is a smart fit.
