Oklahoma’s road-grading left tackle
Phil Loadholt was a massive, nasty-hinged Oklahoma lineman whose calling card was pure power: at 6-foot-8 and roughly 350 pounds, he was praised as a dominant drive blocker and anchored one of the Sooners’ most physical left sides in the late 2000s. In 2007 he started every game at left tackle, logged 740 plays with 104 knockdowns, and was viewed as an early-round NFL talent despite questions about pure quickness. If you want an OL who can move people and set a mean tone, Loadholt fits; if you need a light-footed space blocker, he’s not your guy.
