Dual-Role RHP/OF with Elite Swing Power and Freshman Relief Impact
Jackson Caldwell, a 6'2", 200-lb freshman at UNC Wilmington, stands out as a rare dual-threat RHP/OF with elite bat speed (86.4 mph max) and swing power (94 EV), making him a high-upside draft prospect. In the 2026 season, he delivered 16 relief appearances as a freshman, showcasing composure in late-inning pressure, while his offensive intensity and 'beautiful swing' (per X posts) reflect a player who thrives in clutch moments. Though no official PG grade yet, his potential is rated 'very high draft pick' by Perfect Game USA. With a clean injury history and a confident, competitive personality, Caldwell is a perfect fit for teams needing versatile, high-intensity athletes who can contribute immediately on both mound and diamond.
