veteran Cal QB known more for leadership than volume
Forrest’s Cal story is about steadiness and loyalty: in the 2018 season, he appeared in seven games off the bench, completing 20 of 42 passes for 286 yards, with 1 touchdown and 3 interceptions, and he was praised by Cal for staying committed to the program and being a strong teammate. His game profile leaned toward backup-caliber efficiency rather than big-volume production, but the differentiator was poise, experience, and veteran presence in the quarterback room. If a team wants a dependable locker-room fit and an experienced depth piece, he’s that guy; if it wants a dynamic, high-upside passer, this wasn’t his calling card.
