R.J. Helsper brings disruptive edge-rush potential to South Dakota State
R.J. Helsper is a defensive end for South Dakota State who is worth watching for his pass-rush upside, physicality, and fit in a program that values discipline and front-seven pressure. Publicly available player pages confirm his role with the Jackrabbits, but detailed 2024 individual production was not surfaced in the search results, so the clearest takeaway is his profile as a defensive-line contributor in a proven FCS defense[2][6]. If you want a defender who can help set the edge, play with effort, and develop into a reliable rotational piece, he looks like a sensible fit[6].
