Steady, pro-ready South Carolina tight end with strong size and dependable hands
Jacob August is a 6-foot-6, 245-pound South Carolina tight end who was viewed as a senior leader in the unit and a player capable of carrying forward the physical, reliable presence the Gamecocks wanted at the position.[3][1] His value comes from classic TE traits—size, catch radius, and versatility as a target in the passing game—rather than flash, and his profile suggests a solid fit for a system that needs a dependable, assignment-sound tight end who can help both as a receiver and in-line presence.[3][7]
