Cole Tryba is a high-upside, late-inning lefty with swing-and-miss stuff
Tryba has emerged as one of UC Santa Barbara’s most valuable bullpen arms, posting a 3.48 ERA with 46 strikeouts in 31 innings in 2025 and following that with a strong 2026 season in which injuries delayed his start, but he still finished with 57 strikeouts, four saves, and a 3.50 ERA. His value comes from a mid-90s sinker, a sharp slider, and a changeup that have all missed bats, plus the ability to handle high-leverage moments against top competition. He looks like a fit for teams wanting a power lefty with strikeout upside and late-inning poise.
