Corey Burns brings UMass a specialist’s upside at kicker
Corey Burns is a place kicker for Massachusetts, and the key reason to care is simple: special teams can swing close games, so a reliable kicker is real roster value. Publicly available info on his college output is limited, but his profile as a dedicated kicking specialist suggests he fits best with a team that values consistency, field-position management, and pressure kicks. If you want a flashy athlete, he is not that; if you want a roster piece who can quietly decide games, Burns is the kind of low-drama, high-leverage addition that matters.
