Tyler Butina is a lefty-swinging corner bat bringing some juice to Murray State
Tyler Butina, a redshirt sophomore 1B for Murray State in the 2026 season, brings a sturdy 6-2, 225 frame and a proven power-on-base profile from Madison College, where he hit .301 with a .466 OBP and .577 SLG in 50 games. He already flashed game-changing upside for the Racers in 2026 with multiple RBI moments and at least one homer, including a bases-clearing double in a comeback game and a solo shot in conference play. He looks like a classic run-producer: patient, physical, and dangerous when he barrels it up.
