Freshman RHP Chad Brown brings bullpen juice and late-game poise for Cincinnati
In the 2026 season, Cincinnati freshman right-hander Chad Brown has flashed high-leverage value, including a save with four strikeouts in 2.1 innings against UC San Diego and a scoreless middle-relief stretch in the Houston road trip. He looks like a fit for teams that want a composed, attack-the-zone arm with upside; the Bearcats’ own coverage and local reporting point to him as one of the freshmen with “tremendous upside,” and his outings suggest he can handle pressure without blinking. He’s still early in his college career, but the bat-missing ability and calm in relief make him intriguing.
