Lane Jones brings veteran linebacker grit to South Carolina State
Lane Jones is a seasoned South Carolina State linebacker with a long Bulldogs résumé, dating back to 2016, and his value is built more on experience, toughness, and instinct than flashy counting stats. ESPN lists him as a linebacker for South Carolina State, and older game coverage highlights his playmaking hustle, including a forced fumble on a punt return in 2018. He fits best as a steady, physical presence who can stabilize a defense, especially for teams that want a smart, high-motor defender with proven college mileage and a nose for momentum-shifting plays.
