Marvis Malone brings ball-hawking experience and steady production to Austin Peay’s secondary
Marvis Malone is a seasoned defensive back whose Austin Peay track record shows dependable tackling and playmaking upside, including 33 total tackles and 2 passes defended across his Governors career, plus an interception in 2006. His value is less about gaudy stats and more about reliability, football experience, and the kind of back-end awareness that coaches like in a DB who can fit into multiple coverages. If you need a mature, assignment-sound defensive back who can help stabilize the secondary, Malone looks like a practical fit.
