Malik Cyphers brings downhill tackling and versatile defensive production to Portland State
Malik Cyphers is a physical, versatile defensive back who has shown real playmaking instincts dating back to high school, where he posted 26 tackles, 2 interceptions, 1 sack, and 3 forced fumbles as a senior at Oaks Christian. At Portland State, his current stat line shows he is contributing as a steady tackler and in support roles rather than as a big takeaway producer, which fits a rugged, assignment-sound corner/safety profile. If you need a DB who plays with energy, flashes ball skills, and can help in multiple alignments, he is worth a close look.
