Christian Backas brings veteran tight-end experience and strength-first value to Northern Colorado
Backas is a **size-and-strength** tight end whose value is less about splashy box-score numbers and more about being a reliable, physical presence in a program. His background as a multi-sport high school athlete and later strength/performance coach suggests a competitive, development-minded player who understands leverage, preparation, and the grind, which can translate well in a TE room that needs toughness and maturity. For a team, he profiles as a practical fit if you want a **hard-nosed, culture-setting** tight end who can add functional blocking value and bring a pro-style work ethic.
