a former Lobo QB with long-tail value, but not a current New Mexico quarterback
Victor James is not a current New Mexico Lobos quarterback; available records show him as a former UNM player who enrolled in 2006 and later lettered for the program, with no current 2026 roster or stat-line relevance for today’s Lobos. The key takeaway is fit: if you mean a modern QB target, this is likely a name mix-up, because New Mexico’s current quarterback room features other players. If you want a current Lobo QB profile, the better scouting question is who’s actually driving the offense now.
