Jaydon Cole brings shooter’s touch and high-IQ guard play to Mercer
Cole is a freshman guard for Mercer who has shown early-value traits that translate beyond raw scoring: in the 2025-26 season he has logged limited minutes but a strong assist-to-turnover profile, active rebounding for his size, and the kind of multi-positional feel coaches like in a connector guard. Recruiting and high-school coverage consistently describe him as a pure shooter, high basketball IQ, selfless, coachable, and a high-level defender, which suggests he can fit a system that values spacing, decision-making, and effort.
