Tulsa freshman LB Reilarean Phillips brings rangy, high-upside toughness to the Hurricane defense
Phillips is a 6-foot-0, 210-pound freshman from Houston who arrived at Tulsa in spring 2026 after earning a three-star rating and a No. 158 linebacker ranking from 247Sports. His high-school production—90 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, two blocked kicks, an interception, and a touchdown on a blocked kick—points to a disruptive, playmaking defender with burst, versatility, and special-teams juice. He looks like a good fit if a team wants a physical, ascending linebacker who can develop into a sideline-to-sideline presence with some edge.
