Tawfiq Ramsey brings burst and balance to Savannah State’s backfield
In the 2026 season, Savannah State RB Tawfiq Ramsey has been a steady, efficient part of the Tigers’ run game, logging 12 carries for 54 yards, a 4.5 yards-per-carry pace, and showing enough receiving touch to add 27 yards out of the backfield.[1] The bigger picture: his career profile points to a compact, productive runner with good burst and versatility, not a pure volume grinder—his career totals show 111 rushing attempts for 437 yards and 4 rushing scores, plus 43 catches for 478 yards.[1] If a team wants a back who can contribute in multiple ways without needing every touch, Ramsey fits the bill.[1]
