Cole Draper’s freshman year: strike-throwing upside, early adversity, and real growth potential at Wofford
In the 2026 season, Cole Draper logged 14.1 innings for Wofford with a 6.28 ERA and 6 strikeouts, including his first career start against UNC Asheville and a season-high three strikeouts in relief against the same opponent.[1][3][6] The big takeaway: he’s already been trusted in multiple roles as a right-handed pitcher, and his background matters too — he was a two-time Tennessee state championship pitcher and a two-time 5Star Preps Pitcher of the Year at Farragut, which hints at competitiveness and polish beyond the stat line.[4][10]
