Pacific Tigers Guard with 2.7 PPG Spark in 2025-26
Demetrece Young, a 6-foot guard for the Pacific Tigers in the 2025-26 season, contributes 2.7 points per game while anchoring the team’s backcourt with relentless intensity and sharp decision-making. Though his scoring volume is modest, Young differentiates himself through elite defensive awareness (0.9 BPG) and clutch playmaking in tight WCC matchups, earning trust from coach Dave Smart for his high-energy, no-drama personality. While not a stat leader, his versatility and reliability make him a solid fit for teams needing a steady, low-maintenance guard who elevates team defense and ball security—ideal for mid-major programs seeking depth and grit over flashy scoring.
