Freshman DL Mac McCormick brings size, upside, and two-way toughness to Valpo
Mac McCormick is a 2026 freshman defensive lineman for Valparaiso listed at 6-foot-5, 225 pounds, and his profile screams high-upside development piece rather than finished product. He arrives with uncommon athletic versatility and a productive prep résumé that included strong rushing and defensive production, which hints at real competitive juice and physicality. For a team, the appeal is clear: length, motor, and a multi-sport toughness background that can translate well up front. The question is less about want-to and more about adding college-ready strength.
