Vermont’s Intense, Steady Guard with a 2023-24 Steal Spark
Simeon Marsalis, a 6-1 New Rochelle native, is Vermont Catamounts’ most reliable intensity-driven guard, known for his defensive tenacity (1 steal per game in 2023-24) and clutch free-throw shooting (3 FTs in a 2011 half-clinch vs. Stony Brook). Though his scoring averages modestly (1.7 PPG), his differentiator is unwavering focus and team-first mentality—he stepped away from varsity play post-2012 but remains a cultural anchor. No major injury history; his intensity level is elite. Ideal for teams needing a high-pressure, low-maintenance guard who elevates defense without demanding stats.
