Jack Castagnola is a small-ball spark for UC Davis
In the 2026 season, Jack Castagnola has been used as a versatile left-handed bat for UC Davis, appearing mostly as a DH/bench piece while showing value in the margins: he’s chipped in hits, an RBI, a steal, and multiple sacrifice plays that hint at a team-first, situational profile. The stat line is still light, but the differentiator is his willingness to do the dirty work—move runners, put pressure on defenses, and stay ready for whatever role the Aggies need. That makes him more “connector” than headline-grabber, and a fit for teams that value baseball IQ and unselfishness.
