Veteran NC State interior lineman with proven disruption chops
Monty Nelson brings classic interior-DT value: size, leverage, and a history of getting into the backfield. In the 2016 season at NC State, he was a 6-foot-2, 315-pound senior reserve who flashed as a disruptive tackle, and Rivals ranked him No. 43 nationally at the position; PFF also graded him well in a 2016 game, signaling quality snap-to-snap impact. The differentiator is his stout, experienced, rotational presence—useful for teams needing interior resistance, maturity, and steady effort rather than splashy athleticism.
