a steady guard with Western Illinois roots
Jalen Packer is listed as a guard for Western Illinois, but the publicly available roster page currently shows no season statistics for him, so the strongest takeaway is his long-term program connection rather than a stat-driven breakout[1]. In the historical roster records, he was a 6-2 guard from Princeton, Indiana, which fits the profile of a playable backcourt piece who can bring size and familiarity to the position[1][3]. If you’re looking for a fully evaluated current-season impact player, the available data is thin right now; if you want a roster fit with local toughness and continuity, Packer is at least worth a closer look[1][3].
