Minnesota adds a high-motor, all-around edge with upside
Drew Dehnicke is a **junior defensive end** for Minnesota who arrives with the profile of a sturdy, competition-ready front-seven piece rather than a flashy stat-chaser. Minnesota lists him on its 2026 roster as a DE from Coon Rapids, and the available recruiting/roster info suggests he fits as a physical, developmental player with local ties and room to grow into a rotational role.[4] Because public production details are limited, the key takeaway is fit: he looks like the kind of depth addition coaches like for effort, toughness, and system buy-in, especially if you want a reliable developmental defender.[4]
